Ninmah's Interview at the Chaosfest ( 30.09.06, Marseille, France ) by Løkye

Løkie : Hello, guys! Can you speak to me a little about the band?

Well, we started a few years ago of that.We all were already friends. We worked a lot, but it missed something, that did not return as well as wished we it. Then we engaged Typhus 8 months ago, and, it was the revelation! His voice is completely appropriate to us , and the resultat is much more better!

Løkye : And what about your name, Ninmah?

Ninmah is the goddess of creation at the sumerians.

Løkye : By listening to your songs, we can note that there are many different influences. Was it what you wanted?

Yes, well on! We come all from different horizons in metal,some of us listen to black, or heavy, or death, the only large common points are thrash and heavy.
We built our songs around a base thrash/death, then each one bring its small key: heavy, modern metal… it is what makes Ninmah.

Løkye : And about bands that you listen the more in this moment?

Well, we'll say... Deep Purple, Gojira, Dio, Inflames...

Løkye : Each group tries to transmit a message through its music and its lyrics. which is it yours?

Our words are psychophilosophic with mythological tendencies. Our message would be “Wake up, nothing is real , all is false, we live in a giant masquarade!”

Løkye : What do you think about Metal in France, and more precisly in south of France?

Old and new generation move their ass! there are a lot of associations which help bands. And bands have a good level! but the spectators do not follow enough!

Løkye : Now that you've played, are you satisfied by the show?

Yeah!!!! spectators are fantastic!There is a good environment in the room, people move a lot. And the organization is brilliant! we even ate Lasagnes!! (laughts)
